DON'T LET YOUR INSURANCE GO UP WITH A SPEEDING TICKET
When issued a speed ticket, you might think the easiest thing to do would be to just plead guilty, pay the fine and move on. Perhaps the most significant consequence of a speeding conviction is the points that can be assessed on your license and a significant rise in insurance rates that will accompany the points. However not fighting your ticket can result in an increase of your insurance rates.
Further, if you were to accumulate 11 points in an 18 month period your license to drive will be suspended. Many people do not want to take the time and effort to appear in court and/or represent themselves without understanding the process.
